Finding Tinas business card was like being given a helping hand from heaven!! with her friendly advice and constructive support our 18 week old daughter transformed from being a fractious baby into a very calm and smiley baby. She gave us more confidence as parents to better understand what our baby needed in order for her to be more settled and satisfied. Tina instantly clicked with our family and we were very confident leaving our precious baby in Tinas care overnight from the very start. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I have a 3 year old daughter and had a baby daughter in August 2010. Tina helped me for the first 7 weeks after I had my baby on average two nights a week. Tina was recommended to me through a friend who used Tina for her 3 children. Although our baby was content, she was small at birth and needed to be fed frequently so we were in great need of some sleep!

Tina has been a great help to us and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Tina arrived at 9pm and stayed until 7am. I wish Id had Tinas help when I had my first child as the support, advice and calm manner would have been invaluable.

It was wonderful to have a break and to be able to have a full nights sleep and also to be able to recharge my batteries. I didnt hear the baby once. I looked forward to my undisturbed sleep two nights a week.

Tina has a very professional attitude and I completely trusted her in my house and with my baby. I found Tina to be honest, open and a lovely person. Tina was always punctual and was flexible.

Tina clearly loves babies and is very natural with them. She has raised 2 children of her own and she doesnt get fazed or agitated by anything.
It was great being able to ask Tina for advide on baby issues as she was so experienced. We discussed various concerns I had such as getting the baby to sleep longer at night and how to get her to sleep through the night, checking that her belly button looked normal, checking whether the baby had oral thrush and Tina introduced me to gripe water which worked fantastically.

Tina was quiet at night and easy to have in our home during what could have been a stressful time.

I am delighted to provide a reference for Tina Southwood.Tina served as our night nanny following the birth of our twins.

Tina is an excellent maternity nanny. She was very good at settling the children and establishing a sleep routine for them. She was discreet around the house, and she is also highly professional. She consistently arrived on time if not early, and in the mornings she always stayed to settle the children before leaving.

Most of all Tina was caring and affectionate with the children. She gave them excellent care during the night, and in the morning she would often play with them to help them develop their skills. Tina drew on a wealth of experience in caring for our babies, and our twins responded extremely well to her calm demeanor and capable manner.

I had originally been reluctant to hire a maternity nanny and did so only out of necessity. In the end however I found Tina to be an excellent source of encouragement and support, and my husband and I we so pleased to have found her. Her presence helped us to relax and enjoy the first few weeks with our children.

I cannot praise Tinas work highly enough. I have no reservations in recommending her to any future family.

Tina Southwood came to my rescue when my son was nine months old and his sleeping pattern had become a real problem. He was a co-sleeping breastfed baby, waking every hour through the night and was impossible to settle without being fed to sleep.He had always refused a bottle so I had become exhausted with all- night feeding and his daytime naps were non- existent. He was clingy and would not play on his own or be put down. I had become confused with all the advice in the usual books and online and had lost all my confidence.

Tina visited me and observed T for an hour. She could see from his behaviour that he was sleep deprived and talked me through a daytime and night time routine. I nervously followed Tinas advice and on the third night T settled himself to sleep and slept straight through the night.

T now has a nap in the morning and a nap in the afternoon: he goes to bed at 7pm and wakes 12 hours later! The difference in T is unbelievable – he plays happily on his own, he eats more, he isnt clingy and is now fully weaned and drinks from a cup!

I cannot recommend Tina highly enough, her advice has not only transformed Ts life but my life too – we are so much happier, I only wish I had found her sooner!

Tina Southwood has been a sleep consultant for our family, helping with sleep issues with our 26 month old and our 10 month old children.
As new parents two years ago, my husband and I were struggling to get our eldest child into a routine with her sleep. She became dependant on milk and comfort from us and did not sleep through the night with one of us constantly waking up throughout the night. This continued for a long time and we were desperate for help. We spoke to Tina who visited us for an hours consultation and at that time Tina suggested that we give M a wide berth as she had stomach problems and not to worry too much about sleep patterns in the short term. We understood her reasoning and agreed to work together when Ms health situation was better.

Our second child was born a year later and we knew that we had to get H into a routine from the outset as we were still struggling with M. Tina came to help us for three nights. Using child-focused techniques and giving both my husband and I lots of support and advice (and sleep), we were able to get H to sleep through from approximately 4 months onwards. Tina concentrated on night times but then supported us in the daytime too and H has been sleeping beautifully ever since! A sleep deprived baby, trained in a week to sleep through – amazing!

We felt that the time was right to tackle Ms sleeping problems and after three nights and lots of support at a very difficult and stressful time, Tina managed to sleep train a fractious, milk dependant 2 year old. M now sleeps for 12 hours, without waking up and without milk. She is a changed child who is happy, content and rested.

None of this could have been achieved without the in depth knowledge and understanding that Tina has which has come from years of experience. Tinas methods are both child and family focussed and she understands the need to coach, train and provide emotional support for the whole family as well as the child. Tina is highly organised in that she plans her working week around the childs needs as a guide (changing from night to day as neccessary), she is flexible and punctual. (She has never arrived late at our house; in fact she is usually ten minutes early). Tina is able to balance the need to remain a highly professional practitioner as well as blending into a family in crisis. This is an excellent skill and in my opinion, her forte. She is always at the end of the phone for help and advice and will get in touch for regular updates as to how the children are doing.
I would have no hesitations in recommending Tina as a sleep consultant or child care provider and wish her every success in her future endeavours.

Just a little note to say a big Thank-you for all your help and advice. We have had 2 weeks of L sleeping through the night and for 2 hours during the day in his bed!! It is a huge transformation and he seems so much happier in himself and I am feeling 100% better.

Spilly Spoon – Brilliant Idea

How often have you chased your child around the room trying not to spill the pink sticky medicine on the carpet? I have, many times, so was thrilled when I found the Spilly Spoon! What a great idea! The medicine is poured into the handle which can then be laid flat on a table or other surface…
